POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Business and Finance Manager, the Finance and Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting in the creation of a welcoming, professional atmosphere in the Lambton County Catholic Family of Parishes. The Administrative Assistant processes accounts receivables and accounts payables, ensures timely record keeping and data entries along with other administrative based tasks.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Welcome and assist visitors
Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable entries
Maintain Parish records in the Diocesan Data Management System (DDMS)
Maintain security and card access system
Schedule Mass Intentions and collect payments
Perform other duties of a similar nature as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must meet all eligibility requirements of the grant program to be considered for employment.
Must be a post-secondary student enrolled in a bookkeeping or accounting program or recently completed studies of a similar nature
Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment and professionalism in representing the Family of Parishes when assisting parishioners and other customers and/or in managing concerns on behalf of the Parishes
Proven strong communication and administrative skills
Prior experience using Sage Intaact is an asset
Advanced computer skills including experience using Microsoft outlook, excel, word, and share-point. Knowledge and experience using Canva is an asset
A police record check as deemed suitable by the Diocese of London will be required of the successful candidate.
