Priesthood Discernment Groups are available around the Diocese of London, both in-person and online. These groups are small, guided communities for men exploring a possible call to the priesthood. They provide a structured but supportive environment to help participants understand God’s call more clearly. They usually include:
Prayer & Spiritual Practices: Regular prayer, Scripture reflection, and introductions to forms of discernment-based prayer.
Discussion & Guidance: Group conversations about vocation, personal experiences of faith, and what it means to be called to priesthood today.
Educational Sessions: Short teachings on discernment, the life of a priest, seminary formation, Church teaching, and the different forms of priestly ministry.
Mentorship: Guidance from a vocation director, priest, or spiritual mentor who helps participants process their questions and experiences.
Community Support: A brotherhood-like setting where participants can share openly, listen to each other, and grow in clarity together.
Opportunities for Prayerful Encounter: Participation in Mass, holy hours, retreats, and other experiences to deepen relationship with Christ.
Overall, these groups help men grow spiritually and better understand whether God might be inviting them to pursue the path toward priesthood.
