As announced in his letter to the faithful (Fr | En) on Friday, March 18, Bishop Fabbro and Auxiliary Bishop Dabrowski will be joining Pope Francis, other bishops and the faithful from around the world in consecrating Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Friday, March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord.
The consecration will take place after the noon Mass at St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica (approximately 12:30pm). You are of course welcome to join in the Mass virtually at noon, or in-person if you are in London.
The Act of Consecration including the prayer is at this link.
The Mass and consecration will be livestreamed on the Cathedral's YouTube channel at this link.
As the Bishop said in his letter: "We need to pray for a change of hearts that will lead to reconciliation and so that 'enemies may speak to each other again, adversaries join hands, and peoples seek to meet together' ... The faithful who are not able to join in the consecration on Friday may offer one decade of the Rosary to our Blessed Mother for this intention."
As well, for the guidance of the leaders of NATO who meet on Thursday, March 24, the faithful are asked to pray the following that day:
God of реасе and justice, we pray for the реорlе of Ukraine today. We pray for реaсе and the laying down of weapons. We pray for аll those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them. We pray for those with power over war or реасе, for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions. Above аll, we pray for аll your precious children, at-risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them. We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Реасе. Amen.
