Effective December 31, 2019, the Institute for Ongoing Formation at St. Peter’s Seminary will close. Since 2007, the Institute has supported those in ministry and “in the pews” to grow in service of the Gospel.
Our developing Families of Parishes requires a new way of carrying out ongoing formation. To this end, we are exploring new means of delivering the support that is needed. Future formation efforts, workshops, and courses will be coordinated and supported by the Diocese of London Pastoral Services team. This effort will necessarily include collaboration with local Catholic partners.
The Permanent Diaconate Formation Program, the Certificate in Pastoral Ministry Program, and the Parish Nursing Program will continue as scheduled. All other programs are being reviewed and will fall to the responsibility of Pastoral Services.
We wish to thank Dr. Christian McConnell, who was the Director of the Institute, for his work and support of many programs over the past six years.
