Canadian Federal Election In anticipation of the Canadian Federal Election on October 21, the Pastoral Services Office of the Diocese of London has prepared a handout which we encourage you to share freely. “Federal Election 2019: a brief election guide for Catholics,” (available in
French and
English) which endorses no particular party, reminds us that we should seek to exercise our right and responsibility to vote and to do so with an informed conscience.
The CCCB Episcopal Commission for Justice and Peace has published
The 2019 Federal Election Guide in the name of the Permanent Council. It has been formatted for online sharing and includes hyperlinks directing the reader to further resources on various issues important to Catholics. The content offers a reflection on key ethical and moral issues that voters, especially Catholics, may want to consider.
The Archdiocese of Toronto has posted a series of non-partisan resources to help Catholics reflect on key policy issues before the election. These include backgrounders, infographics, and a video. Please visit
